New from May 2008: The Tholense Schouw "Vrouwe Annechien " was built in 1966. It's a typical fisherboat . The name of this type comes from the place Tholen, where a lot of these boats are built. Sometimes they call them Zeeuwse Schouw too. Characteristic features from a Tholense Schouw are the sharp bow and the flat stern.
The homeport isn't in Friesland, but in the provincie Utrecht, in the place Huizen. This is a good harbour to start sailing on the southern IJsselmeer, the Markermeer.
You can sail to nice places, like Hoorn, Volendam, Monnickendam and Amsterdam, but the "Randmeere" with places like Harderwijk, Elburg and Kampen will be possible too.
There are two beds in the frontcabin, and three beds in the salon. The steering is by steeringwheel.
