less diesel consumption on conventionally boats, electric powered motorboat

The first weeks of the season show it clearly, our ships became more economically on average up to 10% less Diesel were refuelled as in past years, with same ship and indentisch route. Thus the SIMMERSKIP 950 AK with that 48 HP of four-cylinders Mitsubishi used on the South Route about 46 litres of Diesel, whereby the heating was switched on in the evening, which is operating with Diesel too (the guests were in the last April week 7 days on the way).

In the winter 2008/2009 we equipped the engines our ships (up to the Puster, Struzer and Bruzer, where it is not possible due to the engine technology) with so-called aero Finn Cyclonen. These are small employments manufactured made of high-grade steel, which are built into the air duct. Led by the special form of the lamellas in these employments air more effectively swirl into the combustion chamber.

less diesel consumption
this provides for:

· improves burn *
· Fire material saving (s.o.)
· fewer soot particles *
· fewer emissions *
· more power *
· less wear of the engine *

*
as per manufacturer

By smaller consumption fewer emission into air, thus the engines arrive became also more emission free.

Electrically drive into Friesland Still more cleanly drives our newest model, the SIMMERSIP 1200*cruise, propelled from two strong electric motors, which get their power from two large battery sets, its a serial hybrid drive. The driving capacity amounts to 5 - 6 hours drive with full load (11 km/h). On narrow waters in Friesland the speed is reached only rarely here. At night in the yachting port load or alternatively on the way during small battery voltage load with the onboard generator. Thus electrically driving without end…

Serial hybrid drive in Friesland
With this concept, a charter yacht with serial hybrid drive, will be the trend, because the province Friesland tries to clean the province Friesland from CO2 emission up to the year 2020 . This goal refers to cars also to boats here.
