This route takes you to the province Overijssel. You sail with your barge through a very rugged nature reserve, "de Weerribben", and nature reserve "de Wieden". Also magnificent are the " Kalenberger Grachten". On the way it 's possible to moor in nice places, as for instance Steenwijk en Blokzijl, where you can taste the atmosphere of the old seaport. But also Heerenveen with its varied shopping street is recommendable. It is certainly worth while to pass the night during the last evening in this pleasing place. You sail through very narrow canals and rivers, with locks and also self-service bridges. Experience isn't required, but is in your favour.
