In former times the inhabitants of Wommels lived particularly on the cheese trade. Except the cheese factory the cheese memory determined the picture of the place. Nowadays Wommels is above all a village of the commuters. A remarkable object of interest is "It Tsiispakh{s", where an impression is on the other hand arranged for you by the landscape conditions of approx. thousend years ago and of the fight against the sea floods on the one hand and the force of the rain water. Archaeological finds from this area let the everyday life from in former times become alive.
