northeastroute
The northeast route brings you to the province Groningen. A route,
which leads you by two different protected nature areas "Princenhof"
and the "Lauwersmeer". The routing is, like also the driving area
very varied. There is only two short sections on the PM - channel
and Van Starkenborgh Starkenborgh-Kanal (strongly drive on with
occupation navigation) to drive, the largest part are small, narrow
rivers and channels, the Reitdiep in Groningen and also the Sneekertrekvaart
in Friesland are sections of this route. The special advantage of
this driving route is, also in the high season there is not too
much traffic on the most distances, because a majority of the route
cant be sailed by ships with a vertical clearance more than 2,40
meters.
For beginners this route is rather suitable due to partial the strong
rush hour, some very narrow waters and locks. If you liked to drive
the northeast route, you should be an experienced sailor.
